This week we’ve brewed up quite a strong roundup for you, but first check out a few photos from what you missed last week:
Capital Ale House’s National Beer Expo-3 days of over 200 craft beers. Check out our story on that here.
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery has also planned a $28 million expansion to add 24-acre facility featuring a taproom, beer garden, food truck plaza and more. Its slated to open in 2017. Read more on that here.

In this roundup we’ve brewed up a weenie roast, a beer brunch, some beer releases and a birthday bash. Wih that let’s get the good stuff.
Blue Bee Cider turns two this month and is celebrating with a party this Saturday the 25th.The West 6th Street cidery will debut dessert cider flights of Harvest Ration, Firecracker and ginger-dark chocolate bars from Gearharts Fine Chocolates, a birthday cake from Shyndigz and food from Camden’s Dogtown Market. Music from The Folly. 12-7 pm.
Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery in Goochland will host a Weenie Roast and open mic tomorrow night the 23rd. Cook some dogs over theirwood fire and listen to music from open mic musicians! This is a bring your own food event! Sign up for our open mic time slots here.

Ardent Craft Ales is hosting a beer brunch Sun. July 26. the West Leigh Street brewery will have beer Bloody Marys with local Texas Beach Bloody Mary Mix as well as breakfast pizzas from Pizza Tonight Greenleaf’s Pool Room will also join brunch serving up ice cream sandwiches (think, maple bacon ice cream on a french toast cookie and fresh strawberry ice cream on a coconut shortbread cookie.) YUM.
Tonight Strangeways Brewing hosts their Compendium of Curiosities series with a Wednesday sampler specials and bottle tastings. All 30 of the brewery’s 5.5 oz. pours are one low price including the newest brews, Wake Me Up Before You Gose, Legalize It Kulture IPA, and The Snake & The Snowman. Also Try six of our their bottle offerings for only $5. Deal!
On Friday, Triple Crossing will release new brew, Paranoid ALEdroid. Its a crushable, wheat-based Citra/Cascade hopped bright, dry pale ale. 4 pm.

Isley Brewing is hosting an RVA Celebrity Charity Challenge this Friday, the 24th. Todd “Parney” Parnell of the Richmond Flying Squirrels will guest bartend from 4-8pm along with a guest appearance from Nutzy the Flying Squirrel. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the Flying Squirrels Charities. Enjoy their brew while you donate to a good cause!

The Scotts Addition will also an adoption event for Capital Area Rescue Effort. C.A.R.E. works to pull dogs out of high kill shelters and provide loving fosters and forever homes. Dogs will be available for adoption. The brewery will have a Isley Pooch Beach for the pups to stay cool. There will be a raffle with the chance to win a C.A.R.E and Isley gift basket! 12pm-6pm.
Center of the Universe will host a Cornhole tourament on Saturday to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It’s $30 to participate in the tourney – half the funds raised go to the winners and half goes to benefit LLS. Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
Growlers To Go is celebrating Belgian Independence this Friday July 24th with beers from Ommegang. The store will have Hennepin, Rare Vos, Hop House and Fleur De Houblon on tap so go fill ’em up!
Hardywood will host a River City Barn Dance this Sat. July 25. Square dancing in the afternoon, and honky tonk from RVA’s Andy Vaughan and The Driveline. Hardywood brews and grub from Curbside Creations Food Truck.
“Tapped” runs every Wednesday and will be filled with news about your local craft breweries, event, festivals, new beer releases and everything we think you need to know about the craft beer scene before you head into your weekend!
