I Dream of Richmond, a Richmond with Strange Detective Tales, Silent Music Revivals and Action Patrol reunion shows. I dream of a Richmond in love with Gainesville, it’s Fest and Against Me shows. A Richmond with the ethereal addictiveness of Elizabeth King’s inanimately human sculptures, and Found Magazine tour stops. In this dream Radiohead’s In Rainbows plays modern anthemic soundtracks to Doug Wilder’s ineptitude. Cinemasophia records in burning studios, and Martin Atkins talks about how to tour without burning out, breaking down, or going broke. Where vampires are contemplated in smoky bars over crumpled paper and beer. A Richmond where you are invited to scrawl your dreams across the breathing walls of our collective mind-space. Join us! Join us, Richmond, and wake up to find we’re all really that weird.
