FALL 2015

by | Dec 21, 2015

As the summer draws to a close and students head back to school, the entire city quivers with anticipation, because it knows the new issue of RVA Magazine is on its way. Sure enough, we’ve got a great slate of articles lined up to present to you this fall–so get stoked! At the top of the list is our usual wall-to-wall coverage of this summer’s Richmond Mural Project. Presented by Art Whino for the fourth year in a row, this year’s model is bigger and more beautiful than ever, and we’ll have plentiful visual evidence of all the delightful (or, depending on who you ask, “demonic” and “freaky”) murals that graced our city this summer by artists from all over the world. We’ve got an exclusive interview with English artist D*Face as well as imagery by pop culture-absorbing NYC artist Jerkface, local mural sensation Nils Westergard, and many more!

We’ve got a ton of other stuff on tap for you as well, so get ready for a heaping helping of RVA underground culture. We’ll be presenting a completely different view of the local art scene in our conversation with veteran RVA visual artist Jack Lawrence. We’ll be catching up on the happenings in all corners of the local music scene through in-depth profiles with Hot Dolphin, and hip hop production mastermind Ant The Symbol. Plus, local pro skater Trent Hazelwood gives us a few words.

All of this and a great deal more is coming to you in the new issue of RVA Magazine, winging its way to you in September! Be prepared!
