Best Friends Day 2011: New Details Revealed!

by | Apr 6, 2011 | MUSIC

I’m sure a lot of you caught this from breathless facebook status updates bouncing around the internet over the weekend, but in case any of you still don’t know: the lineup for Best Friends Day 10, happening in Richmond this summer from August 18 through August 21, has been officially announced. It’s pretty much insane, too. Seriously, check out this list:

Against Me!
7 Seconds
Converge
Corrosion of Conformity
(Animosity Line Up!)
Pg. 99
Baroness
Strike Anywhere
Off With Their Heads
Jesuit
Dead to Me
Iron Lung
Little Ozzy
Victims
No BS Brass Band
Screaming Females
Dear Landlord
Magrudergrind
The Dopamines
The Catalyst
The Arrivals
Big Eyes
Night Birds
The Max Levine Ensemble
Dry Spell
Capsule
Worn in Red
New Creases
The Haverchucks
Plus more TBA!

I mean, oh my god, right? On top of all that, we now know when at least a few of these bands will be playing. Specifically, the headliners for the show at The Canal Club on Friday, August 19 are Converge, Pg. 99, and Strike Anywhere. Tickets for that show can already be purchased at The Canal Club’s online store. At $20 for that lineup, they’ll probably sell out quick, so you might want to get on that right now!

The rest of the musical schedule, as well as details about the non-musical events that will be part of the festival this year, will be released over the next few weeks, and we will, of course, pass along any details we hear as we hear them. So check back frequently with us, and keep an eye on the Best Friends Day website as well. This is gonna be the best summer ever!
