Lupe Fiasco, the rapper whose relevance in the electronic music scene can be traced back to his crossover hit “Day-N-Night,” has now lent his vocal stylings to the man credited with helping push bass music into the mainstream spotlight, Bassnectar.

Lupe Fiasco, the rapper whose relevance in the electronic music scene can be traced back to his crossover hit “Day-N-Night,” has now lent his vocal stylings to the man credited with helping push bass music into the mainstream spotlight, Bassnectar. A familiar face in Richmond, Bassnectar is slated to release his newest album, Vava Voom, on April 10th (you can preorder it here). With a nationwide tour prepped for support, Bassnectar released his first single and title track, “Vava Voom,” just a few days ago. Check it out below, and if you weren’t able to snag one of the (now) sold-out tickets for his performance at The National in Richmond on the 25th, act quick on getting your tickets for his Norfolk show at the NorVA on April 24th.
