Phoenix Presale
French band Phoenix have steadily built a following over ten years thanks to their exuberant live performances, but it wasn’t until their latest album, the Grammy-winning Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, that the band really took off. Songs from the album were featured on hit TV shows and movies like Entourage and Where the Wild Things Are, and the band even got a rare three song set on Saturday Night Live. Now, they’re making a stop at Constitution Hall this April, and we’re giving you an early chance to grab tickets to this stellar event.

In 2005, I created RVA Magazine, and I'm still at the helm as its publisher. From day one, it’s been about pushing the “RVA” identity, celebrating the raw creativity and grit of this city. Along the way, we’ve hosted events, published stacks of issues, and, most importantly, connected with a hell of a lot of remarkable people who make this place what it is. ‘Turnstile Summer’ Started With 10,000 Fans at A Free Show in BMORE

“Finally I can see it, these birds not meant to fly alone.” These lyrics from Turnstile’s new song “Birds” would define their set at Wyman Dell Park. Last month, Turnstile made their triumphant return to their hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. The band organized a free...

The Vinyl Crypt of Scott’s Addition: Wax Moon’s Strange Magic

Off of Broad Street, deep in Scott’s Addition between warehouses and alleyways, is a black hole in the wall filled with music, vintage VHS, and (perhaps most importantly) Richmond’s preeminent collection of horror-themed pinball machines. I came to Wax Moon on a cool...
