FRIDAY NIGHT: Flux Pavilion At The National!

by | May 10, 2012 | MUSIC

One of the biggest names in electronic dance music is making his way to Richmond tomorrow night! Flux Pavilion’s appearance is sure to be a sold out bass-heavy dance/rage fest with an atmosphere similar to the recent madness that was the Bassnectar show. Making a stop at The National for his Standing On A Hill Tour, the British bass music producer will be taking the stage to drop a holeless set through an array of massive tunes.

In a live environment, Flux, AKA Joshua Steele, is banger followed by high energy banger. His set at Ultra this year caught a ton of praise in the weeks following.

His most recent hit released, “Daydreamer,” a collaboration with Example, purveyed a slightly different sound than we have grown used to–melodic bass and an eminently more dominant vocal than in much of his other work. It made big noise across both the scene and the blogosphere, with remixes from Dillon Francis and JackBeats. Look forward to hearing him drop this as well as other untouchable dubstep tracks like “Bass Cannon,” “I Can’t Stop,” and his “Cracks” remix.

Supporting cast includes Cookie Monsta and Circus Records favorites Brown & Gammon. Both are more than worthy of your early attendance for warming up and stretching.
