RVA’s own GWAR is already king of the AV Club’s Undercover video series, but they’re back to take another crack at the series which gives artists the chance to cover other band’s, often more famous, songs.

Back in 2012, GWAR did a cover of Kansas “Cary On My Wayward Son,” and it continues to be the number video on AV Club’s Youtube page with 2.4 million views. (with Screaming Females cover of “Shake it off” in second – we loved that shit too)

Well now GWAR is back, and they’ve come to scare the shit out of the AV Club.

“They’re giant monsters from outer space with exaggerated genitals,” wrote the AV Club about the GWAR return visit. “They keep coming back to Undercover and destroying (in the best way) every song they attempt.”

Cyndi Lauper’s “She Bop,” the 1984 single that followed “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” are a point of conversation for the band before the break into the bad ass cover of the track.
