Red Bull Music Academy: Washington, DC Session

by | Feb 17, 2012 | MUSIC

The Red Bull Music Academy is a world-traveling series of music workshops and festivals: a platform for those who shape our musical future. Two groups of 30 selected participants – producers, vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists, and all-round musical mavericks from all around the globe – come together in a new city each year for two weeks worth of recording sessions, lectures by musical luminaries, and unforgettable late night jams. Think of it as a private country club, reserved for the most daring and creative of musical minds.

Think of it as a private country club, reserved for the most daring and creative of musical minds.

Last year, over 60 participants met in Madrid, Spain to converge on warehouse turned musical wonderland, and this year, the Red Bull Music Academy is set to invade New York City. The application phase has opened to the public and in an attempt to promote the upcoming conference, a workshop has been set-up in Washington, DC to provide insight into not only the program, but allow us an opportunity to interact with former RBMA-alumni, Sinden & Jesse Boykins III.

The event is free to the public, but space is limited, so make sure to RSVP below!

Following the show, everyone will head over to the world-renowned U Street Music Hall for a night filled to the brim with electronic goodness. Sinden will join fellow headliners Switch, Willy Joy, and birthday boy/U Street Music Hall co-founder Tittsworth for a night that many of us will have a hard time remembering.

WHAT: Red Bull Music Academy Session, Washington DC
WHO: Sinden & Jesse Boykins III
WHERE: The Dunes, 1402 Meridian Pl NW, Washington, DC 20010
WHEN: February 23rd, Doors at 7PM
RSVP: http://rbmadc.eventbrite.com/ Admission is free, but space is limited, so arrive early!
