Get ready, all you indie-rock fans! Our (sorta) hometown boys and girls in The Head And The Heart are returning to Richmond for a two-night stand at The National next month, and we’ve got all sorts of related goodies to give away to two lucky RVA Mag readers! Formed in Seattle about five years ago, The Head And The Heart brings together two Richmond natives, singer/guitarist Jonathan Russell and drummer Tyler Williams, with four West Coast musicians to create a lovely indie-folk stew. Scoring a Sub Pop signing off the grassroots success of their original CD-R demo, the band has since released two albums, their 2011 self-titled debut and last year’s followup, Let’s Be Still, both of which have received massive critical acclaim and fan adoration. They’ve just released a video for Let’s Be Still‘s latest single, “Summertime,” featuring a lead vocal from violinist Charity Rose Thielen and a sunny pop sound that captures your imagination immediately. Check it out below:

The Head And The Heart are already out on tour–in fact, they’re playing Miami Beach tonight–but they won’t be around this way until the beginning of June. But obviously they love Richmond, because where every other city is getting merely one night of music from the band, they’ll be playing two nights here in RVA, on Monday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 3 at The National. And considering how much Richmond loves them right back, you have to expect these tickets to be highly sought after. So it might be a good idea to grab yours now!

But if you’re feeling lucky, there’s a much better deal that could be awaiting you from your friends at RVA Magazine! Winners will also receive passes to an exclusive after party with The Head And The Heart! Sounds amazing, right? Well, what are you waiting for?
