You Probably Shouldn’t Watch The New Iron Reagan Video, But Here It Is Anyway

by | Aug 1, 2014 | MUSIC

Tony Foresta and the Iron Reagan gang are big fans of horror movies, and one thing Tony really loves to see when he’s watching horror movies is eyeball gore. He loves it so much, in fact, that he wrote a song for the forthcoming Iron Reagan album, The Tyranny Of Will, about that exact subject. And now, that song’s getting a sneak preview in the form of a lyric video that will make you lose your lunch.

“Eyeball Gore” is the exact sort of raging crossover thrash jam that you’d expect from Iron Reagan, but if you want to learn the lyrics to it, you’re gonna have to watch a lot of really gross scenes.

The bouncing severed eye leads you through a singalong-style video that features a backdrop consisting of nothing but the grossest eyeball-injury effects ever captured on film. It is really difficult to watch, and I’m absolutely amazed that YouTube is even willing to host the video. As a big fan of horror films from all eras and parts of the world, I’ve seen quite a few of the movies excerpted for this video, and everything from The Goonies to classic surrealist film Un Chien Andalou to Dario Argento’s Opera makes an appearance. There are surely more legendary scenes here, but I am particularly grossed out by eyeball injuries and have not been able to make it more than 20 seconds into this 63-second video. If you’ve got a strong stomach, feel free to try your luck below… or you could just let the song play while you look at lovely pictures of kittens in a different browser tab. I wouldn’t blame you.

Iron Reagan will be performing two weeks from tomorrow at the GWAR-B-Q out at Hadad’s Lake. You should know all you need to know about that already–I assume you’ve already got your tickets, in fact. If not, do it up HERE. Pre-order The Tyranny Of Will, which comes out on September 16 from Relapse Records, HERE. And look for our interview with Iron Reagan in the upcoming issue of RVA Magazine, out this month!

Young Blood | Photographer Vincent Candela
