Best Interview Ever – m4w (Richmond)

I was hiring. After 3 great phone conversations, we met at Panera. You interviewed for my assistant position. Best interview ever. You were cute, dynamic, fun and intelligent. You also were intimidating. With a hint of inappropriate office games to ensue, I panicked. I hired the guy instead.

Mistake. He’s awful. Or, he was awful. I let him go. I’ve searched for your resume to contact you. No luck. Please contact me!!! The job is yours. Or maybe a drink? coffee?

Worst tomato joke ever. My love – w4m (Tri cities

My prayers still go unanswered day after day. Year after year. But last night i finaly got what ive needed more than anything in the world. I got to look in your eyes and bury myself in your arms … Its only the second time you have showed up in my dreams …and i even ask god for that sometimes too…the first time i woke up instantly because it seemed to real. This time i got to feel your arms around me first before i woke up to my own tears. i do have dark circles under my eyes, i have lost alot of weight .. Of course … Its hard to sleep..of course its hard to eat… Its hard most days to just to BE. I hope one day you understand how it feels to love someone that much but i also hope when you do she loves you that much too. Because until then you will never know..and only at that point can you even guess what a true broken heart can feel like. 058. Those numbers and the {tomato} Are meaningful only to the person this post is to..and to not give false hope to those like me …broken hearted and waiting for the smallest glimpse of hope.

w4m (Tri cities)

Can you ever act normal. Your actions are letting your secret out. No one acts like that. I want so bad for you to show up and tell me to get my shit and put our family back together. And at the same time i wish you didnt exist by always acting like a wierdo. If you could see yourself. For once be a man…wheres that dominant side you proclaim you have on your pof profile? Man up for the sake of your kids. Move on or fix it but for gods sake for once stop acting like a wierdo and be a man…own your own life your own feelngs. I guess stop being a fake. Yes the real you is not someone easy to love or like for everyone.. But he is more than enough for those that truly love you. Me and your kids. Your antics and tactics have made me amazing. I like me ..i love me…its a good feeling. Try it sometime.

Wedding reception – w4m

You were the finest thing I’ve ever seen. I know you noticed I was looking at you the entire night. It was hard to tell if you were looking back as much as I think you were. I’m not really sure what I am looking for out of this but it would be nice to hear from you.
If you think this post is about you tell me the reception location and we can go from there.

Tan, handsome, 6 foot 5 guy – m4m (Pridefest)

I kept seeing you at pride on your phone until I eventually came up to you and asked you how tall you were , you replied 6’5 , and then I told you I was 6’7. I was bummed I didn’t run into you again. You had a green shirt and were extraordinarily good looking, and I hope we can talk again.

Woman at Ellwood Thompson’s – m4w (Museum District)

You have curly hair, and you were wearing it pinned in the back with a dark blue micro polka dot headband. You were wearing black Nike’s and blue-ish leggings.

You smiled at me when we passed each other on the corner near the coffee stand. When I got into line I realized that you were in front of me.

You are so incredibly beautiful. I should have gotten your name, which is why I’m here. I was having a serious case of shyness. Hopefully you read these. I’ll cross my fingers and hope that I see you again in the meantime. I really, really hope I do.

You dropped your ice cream… – w4m (Wawa Brook and Mountain)

…and waited for me to leave. You came all the way around the parking lot and then didn’t stop. Wish you had.

A little BS

Elope with me Miss Private and we’ll drink ourselves awake
We’ll taste the coffee houses and award certificates
A privy seal to keep the feel of 1960 style
We’ll comment on the decor and we’ll help the passer by
And at dusk when work is over we’ll continue the debate
In a borrowed bedroom virginal and spare

Taboo – m4w (West Broad)

I met a special lady, at Taboo, and cannot get her out of my mind. It has only been a week but she made a lasting impression. Please contact me if you are interested in a friendship. No Strings! You know everything I purchased and I know what you were getting fixed. Let me know. If I do not hear from you I wish you only the best. You deserve it.

There’s a Murder Coming to Richmond, and You’re Stuck on the Train

Virginia Repertory Theatre is kicking off its new season the way any sensible theatre should: with a train, a murder, and a detective who’s just trying to make sense of it all. Murder on the Orient Express is Agatha Christie’s great reminder that people are both awful...

Confederate Nostalgia, Black Voices: The Paradox of Polk Miller

Over a century ago, engineers from the Edison Company hauled their bulky recording equipment from New Jersey to Richmond, Virginia. In 1909, they captured one of the first interracial recording sessions in American history: Polk Miller, a white Confederate veteran...

The Felon Who Built Scott’s Addition

Before the beer taps and condos, before the buzzwords about ‘revitalization,’ Scott’s Addition’s future passed through the hands of a single man: Justin Glynn French. A convicted felon whose empire collapsed in scandal, he set the stage, even if unintentionally, for...

It’s Still Our City | Ep. 13 Stooping RVA

"The joy of finding a perfectly reusable gem on a sidewalk, in an alley, or on a porch stoop is one of the perks of living in such close proximity in the city of Richmond. The FOMO of not making it on your bike in time for a taxidermy dolphin or a surprisingly decent...
