Colorful Illusions! Jada And David Parrish’s Mind-Bending Photography

by | Nov 16, 2023 | ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, WTF?!

This story was originally published in RVA 41 which can be in various locations around town, or you can read it right here. This is a slightly modified version formatted for digital distribution.

Jada and David Parrish are Richmond mixed media artists known for their unique blend of sculpture and digital imagery. Their work is all about creating surreal art and captivating visuals that grab your attention.

They use everyday materials like plywood, paint, and light in their creations. These materials come together to form what can only be described as in-between spaces filled with vibrant colors and mind-bending optical illusions. Their art is all about exploring that mysterious space where the familiar meets the unknown.

In their photography, Jada and David have a knack for capturing scenes that make you question reality. They take you on a visual journey where it’s hard to tell where reality ends and the dream world begins. Through their lens, they bring out the uncertainties and deep emotions that are a part of the human experience.

In a nutshell, Jada and David Parrish’s art invites you to step into a world where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary. It’s a visual adventure that blurs the lines between reality and imagination, all while delving into the complexities of being human.
