In The Heat Of The Night Vol. 4: Destructo Freaknick Dance Party

by | Jun 27, 2023 | METAL, PUNK, THRASH & HARDCORE, NIGHTLIFE, PHOTOGRAPHY

The stars of hops have aligned as we collaborate with the maverick potion conjurers over at Bingo! Beer Co. Our crew of urban explorers, armed with cameras, is on a vision quest every weekend. They’re downing the rabbit hole to navigate the throbbing arteries of the city that pulses like a never-ending rave past the witching hour.

This week, we chronicled the adventures of our intrepid hero CJ Payne, who dared to dive headfirst into the ground zero of nocturnal shenanigans. Our compass was set to The Camel – where our prophecy of the moment named Destructo Disk as the ‘DIY punk band with the audacity to tattoo your eardrums’ was put to the test – and by all the gods of Rock, they passed with flying colors! The night was still a pup as our expedition veered towards Godfrey’s – a sanctuary where human inhibitions are shredded into confetti. And we’d be remiss not to tip our hats to the oasis in Richmond’s concrete desert, where we clinked our glasses with our comrades at Bingo! Beer Co.

Now, darlings, we thirst for your cryptic lairs, your rambunctious jamborees, or that shadowy rendezvous where the uninitiated dare not tread. Or perhaps you’ve got that glint in your eye and the hunger to seize the camera like a modern-day Cartier-Bresson? Don’t be shy, sing your siren song to us at hello@rvamag.com.
