This Sunday all the lovebirds will be out frolicking through the fields professing their love for another and gorging themselves on steak, seafood, red wine and any little cutesy menu Richmond restaurants have dreamed up this year. Along with some chocolate and candy and maybe some Netflix and chill afterward.

And then there are these people…. A little disappointed in you RVA that it’s coming up on Valentine’s Day Weekend and there was not one single Valentine’s-themed missed connection. No one gushing about their long lost love, no one hoping for a romantic candlelit dinner followed by a long walk on the beach, not even a little “I heart u” with a funny character attached.

Where is the hope? Well, anyway there are still some people looking for at least a fling this time around so here are this week’s Missed Connections. Best of luck and may Cupid lead you to them!

la puta gringa at Little Mexico yesterday (the white feminist) – w4w (Little Mexico)

This is to you white feminist at Little Mexico on the 7th of february. We were on campus at VCU. I sat next to you in a booth with my girlfriend and had to listen to your white feminist martyrdom for an entire meal.

You are a ginger with a pink complexion. Pretty basic so it may be hard to find you again.

You sat with your friend (a woman of color) and ranted and raved for the entire meal about people of color, “shitty white lesbians”, being gay, “shitty white feminists” and the problematic shit on Mad Men. I heard your friend say probably 10 words. !

My girlfriend and I sat down, ate our meal and left before your ass shut up, we walked out the door while you continued to talk. You were already done eating when we arrived. You were literally shouting and we felt uncomfortable holding a conversation. Imagine how your friend felt!

If I wasn’t having a Sunday Funday and was stoned and uncomfortable, I may have had the energy and foresight to call you on the enormous amount of space you were taking up. Good thing you went to college out of high school and escaped the white bread waste of space NOVA. I wish you the best in your pursuit of all the white feminist gold stars. Your flexing contributes to white supremacy in a way you may never understand or truly feel.

Me: a white passing Latina with blonde hair. We exist and some of us think deeply about where we come from.

So if you see me answer this “what’s good?” and maybe I’ll see you in a GSEX class soon.

I have never laid eyes on such an incredibly beautiful lady with such an incredibly round belly. I wish I could’ve stayed to chat but my friends were waiting on me. If you remember anyone you found attractive coming through your line last night, please contact me…not sure if you are pregnant or just chubby, but I would love to worship your every inch

Vegan barista fella – w4m (Lamplighter (Summit Ave))

You said you don’t trust runners and know there is a penalty for a false fire alarm. Let’s eat vegan junk food (or salad) and drink non-alcoholic beverages…dare I suggest coffee?

Poor fabs (loserville)

You really are one pathetic, lonely bitch. And stupid looking as hell. Maybe you should put your glasses on next time you Photoshop yourself some white teeth. Make sure the white doesn’t get on your lips. God what a fucking idiot.

Black Hand Chris – m4m

male panera manager, soup man – w4m (Glen Allen)

I came into the Panera near VCC on my break from work – it was just another day like any other…until I saw you pouring my soup. The way you looked at me and said “yes, ma’am” when I asked for a little extra soup…enough to make a grown woman’s heart melt.
