BIKE to the FUTURE

by | Apr 21, 2010 | POLITICS

We really hope the weather holds up for this! From Sticky Rice:

This Thursday (April 22), join Sticky Rice and Ellwood Thompson’s in celebrating Earth Day! We thought the best way to celebrate would be for a nice bike ride, so we’re going to ride from Sticky to Ellwood’s, via some of Richmond, VA’s nicest parks, lakes, and roads. Join us as we ride through Dogwood Dell an Byrd Park, around Swan, Boat and Shields lakes, and up Malvern Avenue in what is predicted to be fantastic bicycling weather. Ellwoods will be providing drinks and entertainment when we get there.

We don’t want this to be a one-off event, of course; we really hope that more people start riding bikes, as an alternative to cars, and for fitness! Richmond is a very bicycle-friendly city and if you help us spread the word we can continue to change how our city thinks and acts towards the environment.
