Last Friday’s weather was dark, gloomy, and terrible… perfect for celebrating Santa’s evil companion, Krampus, and the terror he brings with him.


Last Friday’s weather was dark, gloomy, and terrible… perfect for celebrating Santa’s evil companion, Krampus, and the terror he brings with him.

Now in its second year, the RVA Krampusnacht march made its way through Carytown despite the harsh conditions.

The crowd of about two dozen people, many in costume reflecting the Germanic folklore of an evil bizarro-Santa who punishes bad children, made their way through RVA’s premier local shopping district.

Luckily, local photographer Eli Christman (AKA GammaMan) was there to capture all the horror:
