Hallelujah: For those who are too comfortable to leave their home, or too drunk to drive, there are establishments here in RVA that will deliver alcohol (and even cigarettes) to you.

So, for a small fee you can fiend without the pesky-going-somewhere-to-buy-it part.

Businesses are able to do this with an issued ABC OFF license which allows grocery stores, drugstores, gift shops etc. to deliver beer and wine. If you do order someone to bring drinks to you, you still of course have to have your ID. It is required for the person selling to write down the license number of the customer, so be ready to give that number up when you answer the door.

“Most of our orders are delivery,” said John Burton, general manager at Franklin Street Market located in Shockoe Bottom.

With his most popular beer sold in the West End being “Not Your Father’s Root Beer”, in the Fan/Jackson Ward area it is classic PBR and in Churchill, Burton says they like their Craft/IPAs. Will you order the drink of choice from your neighborhood?
