SUPPORT LOCAL WRIR 97.3 FM

by | Apr 28, 2010 | POLITICS

Dear Friends of WRIR:

It’s that time of year when WRIR once again asks you for your generous support to keep independent, non-commercial, volunteer-driven, community radio happening in Richmond (and, via Internet streaming, happening worldwide as well).

Richmond Independent Radio’s Spring ’10 Fund Drive kicked off on Friday April 23 at 5 PM and wraps up on Sunday May 2 at 3 PM.
You can donate securely online simply by CLICKING HERE
Or you can donate by calling us at (804) 622-9747 7am to 11pm, or by visiting in person at 1621-B West Broad Street in Richmond.

Because of all of you who have donated so generously in the past, WRIR has established itself as one of the premier radio stations of its class in the USA: staffed by 200 volunteers; on the air 24/7/365; broadcasting everything from locally-produced public affairs programming, to music other radio stations couldn’t be bothered to play, to the best national programs from the NPR and Pacifica networks.

There are some excellent premiums … but what you really get with your donation is fantastic, creative, intelligent radio, on your FM dial in Richmond at 97.3FM & on the web via our stream at www.wrir.org.

So thank you to all of you who have made Richmond Independent Radio a success through your donations in past fund drives. And please consider making a donation in the current fund drive as well. Thank you in advance for being awesome!

I created Richmond, Virginia’s culture publication RVA Magazine and brought the first Richmond Mural Project to town. Designed the first brand for the Richmond’s First Fridays Artwalk and promoted the citywide “RVA” brand before the city adopted it as the official moniker. I threw a bunch of parties. Printed a lot of magazines. Met so many fantastic people in the process. Professional work: www.majormajor.me
