This weekend’s GWARBQ was incredible – the music, the crowd, the GWARBeer, and the feeling of being a part of real memorial for a rock-god created the perfect end of summer party.

Here’s a few photos and videos from the memorial held last Friday. We’ll have much more content – from photos to videos to interviews with some of the bands – later this week.

GWAR-B-Q 2014 Will Take Place As Scheduled, In Honor Of Dave Brockie

In the wake of the shocking and tragic death of GWAR founder and lead vocalist Dave Brockie, aka Oderus Urungus, the Slave Pit has determined that the show must go on. This year’s GWAR-B-Q, scheduled for August 16 at Hadad’s Lake, will take place, preceded by a public memorial for Brockie to take place on August 15 at the same location.
