Virginia Pride Fest 2024 is happening this Saturday, and we had the chance to do something special for the cover of the Official Pride Guide, which we’ve proudly designed in-house at Major Major for Diversity Richmond over the past decade.

We’d like to give a huge thanks to photographer Alex Burrus for capturing the brilliant cover image. The concept was simple: members of Richmond’s queer community gathered on the Capitol steps with pride flags, and the final photo was incredible.

In 2005, I created RVA Magazine, and I'm still at the helm as its publisher. From day one, it’s been about pushing the “RVA” identity, celebrating the raw creativity and grit of this city. Along the way, we’ve hosted events, published stacks of issues, and, most importantly, connected with a hell of a lot of remarkable people who make this place what it is.
