Local Art Film Is 1900 Hand Cut Paper Frames And A Year In The Making

Over the last few years, we have posted several of Richmond artist Nils Westergard’s music videos and art works, but this might be the best yet.


Over the last few years, we have posted several of Richmond artist Nils Westergard’s music videos and art works, but this might be the best yet.

“Basically I spent all year on this film,” Westergard tells us. “It involved over 1900 hand-cut paper frames.” Touching and obviously time-consuming, Wallflower is a lightly balanced combination of Westergard’s imagery and music by Richmond’s Inland Ocean. Check it out below.

We’ve featured quite a few of Nils Westergard’s projects in the past, most recently his work on The Painted Desert Project, which you can check out here, and a time-lapse video of his mural alongside Stuffy’s on Harrison St, which you can see here.
