Local Artists Dan Owen & Jeff Byers Premiere New Works Friday At Chop Suey Books

RVA artists Dan Owen and Jeff Byers will be premiering “Sorry America,” an exhibition of new artwork beginning at 6 PM this Friday at Chop Suey Books in Carytown.

RVA artists Dan Owen and Jeff Byers will be premiering “Sorry America,” an exhibition of new artwork beginning at 6 PM this Friday at Chop Suey Books in Carytown. Owen has quietly made a name for himself in the Richmond art scene over the past several years, doing work that’s appeared both in local galleries and on album covers. Byers has had a higher public profile, though mostly as a musician, having previously played in Wow Owls and Best Practices, among others. This Friday, Owen will be presenting a selection of new pen and ink drawings, some with color added, while Byers will be showing a series of wood-burned panels. Here’s a quick preview:
