This Sunday, Santa’s naughty list gets a whole lot naughtier, as Deanna Danger Productions returns to The Byrd’s stage for their third annual Byrlesque At the Byrd: Holidays At the Movies performance.

This Sunday, Santa’s naughty list gets a whole lot naughtier, as Deanna Danger Productions returns to The Byrd’s stage for their third annual Byrlesque At the Byrd: Holidays At the Movies performance. “We’re making our own burlesque holiday pageant the way we want to…in a White Christmas meets John Waters kind of way,” says Deanna Danger.

The show parodies a typical holiday story, turning it on its head for a hilarious and sexy performance. This year’s show is hosted by beloved local drag queen Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside, and features all-new acts by local favorites Deepa de Jour, Puppie Buffé, Melody Magpie, and many others. The event will also include a Hanukkah-themed act by renowned starlets The Schlep Sisters, bringing a non-Christmas holiday performance to the festivities for the first time.

Meanwhile, the FilmRoasters, who’ve been trapped in the balcony at the Byrd for some uncountable number of years, will reprise their Statler/Waldorf act from past editions of Byrlesque at the Byrd, and are sure to amuse. ”You won’t find any Virgins, sheep or camels in this one, but you may find a manger full of surprises and a couple of Wise Guys bringing comedic gold!” says Danger.

“We’ve got an incredibly creative cast this year that has really thought outside of the box on their acts,” Danger explains. Byrlesque at The Byrd promises stripteasing reindeer, unwrapped ‘packages,’ and naughty dreidel games as just a few of the show’s holiday-themed shenanigans.

The show takes place this Sunday, December 7 at The Byrd Theatre, located at 2908 W. Cary St in Carytown. Doors open at 7:30 pm. “Gold” level VIP tickets are sold out, but plenty of tickets at the “Frankincense” and “Myrrh” levels remain. For $20, “Frankincense” ticket buyers will receive preferred theatre seating as well as 10% off meal and extended happy hour purchases at New York Deli, Don’t Look Back, and Portrait House. “Myrrh” level ticket buyers receive a general admission ticket to the show for $13. Both levels can also be purchased with a $50 upgrade that includes a limited edition keepsake photo book from the show. All tickets can be purchased in advance from Brown Paper Tickets by clicking here. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $18 starting at 7 PM on the day of the show.
