Call For Entries: Colors Of Life International Photo Contest

Colors of Life announces the 2012-13 Sixth Edition of the Colors of Life International Photo Contest. This year’s competition will be carried in conjunction with the activities of The World Bank at its headquarters in Washington, DC during the 2012 Law, Justice and Development Week Conference, entitled: “Opportunity, Inclusion, and Equity: Responding to the Challenges of Our Time.”


Colors of Life announces the 2012-13 Sixth Edition of the Colors of Life International Photo Contest. This year’s competition will be carried in conjunction with the activities of The World Bank at its headquarters in Washington, DC during the 2012 Law, Justice and Development Week Conference, entitled: “Opportunity, Inclusion, and Equity: Responding to the Challenges of Our Time.”

The goal of this year’s competition is to produce a documentary-style exhibition from the 30 finalist photographs that will be exhibited at the World Bank in December 2012, and subsequently in other venues to raise awareness of the condition and prospects of women and girls in the world.

Colors of Life is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation based in Washington, DC, with a mission of combining the evocative power of art with philanthropic efforts dedicated principally to improving the quality of life and conditions of the less-fortunate. Founded in 2006, Colors of Life has collaborated with a wide variety of charitable and other non-profit institutions that share its goals and has evolved from an annual international photo contest that attracts talented artists from around the world to an organization that spotlights the rights and needs of the less fortunate through the organization of events with its partner and beneficiary organizations, creating opportunities for fundraising activities and providing direct financial support to them.
