Happy Holidays Richmond! Santas Around The World On Their Days Off

by | Dec 23, 2022 | ART, POP CULTURE

Every year, we make a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays post on our social networks. Usually, we share a funny meme or some generic image with a caption but this year Midjourney has hit the office and it is a blast to use! We have spent so many hours this week just playing around with different ideas and styles.

So last night, we got to thinking about what a Santa from Richmond, VA would look like and what does he do when he is not working? The main image was what we came up with but then we just jumped down the rabbit hole and kept going. What do Santas around the world do when they are not delivering presents?

We hope you enjoy these images as much as we did making them.

In 2005, I created RVA Magazine, and I'm still at the helm as its publisher. From day one, it’s been about pushing the “RVA” identity, celebrating the raw creativity and grit of this city. Along the way, we’ve hosted events, published stacks of issues, and, most importantly, connected with a hell of a lot of remarkable people who make this place what it is. Review | ‘SMOKE’ at Firehouse, Fire in my Belly.

Once again, a trip to the Firehouse Theatre has found a way to send me home with a boiling pit of emotions churning in my gut and fiery rants on the tips of my fingers. Art is made to provoke, not to placate, and this is what I signed up for. SMOKE, the current...
