Let the groans begin, Richmond, it’s that time again: our semi annual Support Local, Vote Local Poll.

We’ve all been through it lately. Another election, another pile of headlines designed to grind your optimism into dust. Everyone’s tired, broke, and trying to make it to the weekend with some dignity left. And with the holidays closing in, a lot of local businesses are in the same boat, keeping the lights on, the doors open, and people working.

With the holidays coming up, and maybe a much-needed break from the news, this feels like a good time to look around and show a little love to local businesses. Vote for the places that make this city feel like home, the bar that remembers your name, the shop owner who still says hi, the spots that remind you Richmond still has some heart left. Maybe a few of the new folks in town will take the hint and spend their money locally instead of feeding the chain store void.

Wishful thinking, sure. But that’s what we at the mag have been about for over twenty years.

Back in 2023, our reader’s crowned legends like ZZQ, Cobra Burger, Zorch Pizza, Lucky AF, Garnett’s, TBT El Gallo, The Veil and Bamboo Café , but that was then. This year’s up for grabs. Cast your votes, don’t overthink it, and we’ll releases the results November 21st, 2025.

Before we get into it, you can check the results from 2023 HERE. And 2022 results HERE. We skipped last year.

What This Year Really Looked Like for Virginia Farmers

2025 has been a tough year for farming across the country, and from the outside looking in, it’s hard to tell what’s actually happening versus what’s being spun. So instead of guessing about beef prices or egg shortages, it made sense to ask someone dealing with these...
