Richmond Restaurant Week Returns! Eat, Support, Repeat

by | Oct 21, 2024 | COMMUNITY, EAT DRINK

Richmond’s food scene steps up once again as Richmond Restaurant Week returns from October 21st to 27th. Over 30 restaurants are participating, each offering a three-course meal for $35.24, with $5.24 of that going to support Feed More, a local nonprofit that works to alleviate hunger in the area.

The premise is simple: you dine out, and some of your money goes toward feeding people who need it. Since its start in 2001, Richmond Restaurant Week has raised more than $1.2 million for Feed More, supplying over 3.2 million meals through programs like Meals on Wheels, the Mobile Pantry, and the BackPack program for kids.

While you’re eating well, you’re also supporting a cause that’s all too necessary in this city, where 1 in 7 people faces food insecurity. The formula is familiar, but that doesn’t make it any less important: enjoy a good meal and contribute to something bigger than yourself.
