The 2015 edition of RVA On Tap’s RVA Beer Madness is over!!

The 2015 edition of RVA On Tap’s RVA Beer Madness is over!!

It was a killer tourney, with some new teams coming up in our area and bringing some new flavor into this bracket, and now it is in the books. First, we want to give a BIG thanks to all the voters and craft beer lovers in RVA–this is all about you, and your support of your local scene. An EXTRA BIG thank you to all of the amazing beer bars, markets, and breweries that competed in the 2015 edition of RVA Beer Madness. We have an amazing and growing craft beer scene here in Richmond, and you can look forward to more in the future! (Just wait ’til we add Stone to this!)

*Make sure and visit all of these places in the RVA Beer Madness 2015 Bracket! And check out Trinkin for up-to-date lists of beers available at many of these spots.

OK HERE WE GO! In the end, it came down to the Big Two: Hardywood vs Mekong!!! It was a REMATCH of 2014’s final clash of the titans of RVA Beer: literally Goliath vs King Kong!

As we said, the drama was high with the heart of the RVA craft beer world on the line! This was our Kentucky vs Wisconsin — our top two of many powerhouse teams that have helped grow RVA Beer. This game was a killer, complete and utter high-paced showdown between two teams with lots of pull. Both teams had strong social networks that have helped them get to this point in the tourney. But we can only have one winner, and our REMATCH had a very hungry team that shot lights out and ran a full court press from start to finish. It takes a lot to take out a Championship winning and multiple-award winning team that has so much momentum with the RVA beer scene, but…….

……

…..

….

…they did just that! HARDYWOOD WINS! HARDYWOOD WINS!!

We have a new Champion this year. Congrats to Harydwood Park Craft Brewery for winning it all!!

Once again, thanks to everyone, from voters to beer spots, for your support. Come have a beer with me if you would like — I will be crying at Mekong.

What This Year Really Looked Like for Virginia Farmers
