The 2015 edition of RVA On Tap’s RVA Beer Madness is now down to the Championship Game!! We have our top two teams representing your favorite beer spots in RVA.

Here is the breakdown:

DIVISON FINAL East: Legend Brewing Company vs Hardywood Park Craft Brewery

This battle was so very close this year. We were very excited to have two of the best breweries in RVA meet here in the finals. Legend has been pulling out strong in every round, as Hardywood also continued with its strong support, just like last year. In the end Hardywood Park pulled out by just a few points to edge the win and move on to the final game. Hardywood will once again be representing the East in the Finals!

DIVISON FINAL West: Garden Grove Brewing Company vs Mekong Restaurant

Garden Grove certainly has been an entertaining story in this division, going though some major teams and pulling out some surprising victories along the way. Mekong of course is highly popular and rolled through the division despite a close call or two. This matchup was extremely tight throughout, but at the buzzer, at 3pm exactly, Mekong hit the game-winning long range jumper! Literally: 3 points accounted for the Mekong win in this one. We had a big upset in the making, but in the end Mekong once again will represent the West in the Finals!

So it all comes down to this; in a rematch of the 2014 Championship Matchup, we have Mekong up against Hardywood once again! Will Mekong repeat their championship performance from last year, or will Hardywood unseat the reigning CraftBeer.com Best Beer Bar on the East Coast! The drama is high and the heart of the RVA craft beer world is on the line!

Cast your votes for your Champion Beer Spot, and feel free to share this bracket with friends and businesses in our community! Vote now!! And remember–in the end, local beer wins!!!

You can also check out our friends at Trinkin.com to see what’s on tap at many of the locations in the tourney.

Championship voting ends at 8pm Monday April 6 – announcement of the 2015 RVA Beer Madness Champion will take place before the NCAA Championship game. Thanks for your time, and HAPPY VOTING!
