This past week, An Bui, owner and operator over at The Answer, revealed his long awaited Brew House.

We of course had to come out and get a look, and try some of the special tappings (Sexual Chocolate Stout- yummy!). Bui gave RVA a sneak peek into his new setup, and you could hear the excitement in his voice as he spoke about his plans for his first brewery.

Bui’s still waiting to get everything complete and all permits good to go before everything is up and running and the brewery starts up, but Brandon Tolbert, the head brewer, gave a little insight into the system and plans this week:

“We have a 5bbl brewhouse, seven 5bbl fermenters, two 5bbl brite tanks, and four 5bbl serving tanks–with our four serving tanks in the brewery cooler, which will dispense The Answer Brews directly to the back bar,” said Tolbert as he walked us through the beautiful new brew space. “As for the brew plans, we will start with hoppy beers. The first four will be session IPA, DIPA, and two different IPAs. Soon we will be letting people know the beer names!”

We will be awaiting the announcement of the beer names, and updates on The Answer brewery’s beers. In the meantime you can go in and try their selection of over 50 beers they’ve curated especially for RVA.
