Pulling Punches: Weekend Playlist by House & Home

by | May 8, 2020 | MUSIC

Every Friday night, RVA Mag brings you an essential playlist curated by Virginia’s most influential artists, musicians, and institutions.

This week, we’ve got a solid selection of killer tunes from House & Home, a Richmond-based trio with a brand new LP out, as of last month, on Open Your Ears Records. Find Sense. Feel Love. Make Light. has a strong, passionate sound sure to remind you of both the best of last decade’s emo revival (think Citizen, or Basement) and classic 90s alternative rock (Hum, Far). If you like rockin’ bands who wear their heart on their sleeve, you’re sure to dig what these guys are doing.

As for their playlist, you’ll get plenty of simpatico sounds that’ll whet your appetite for a full dose of House & Home, bringing together moody emo, energetic pop-punk, and heartfelt balladry for a playlist that’ll help you stay inside and avoid the twin scourges of pollen and COVID-19 all weekend long.

Rock out, Virginia.
