Announcing the greatly anticipated return of one RVA’s favorite variety shows: LYRIC AVE. Presented by Co-Lab, Lyric Ave is the largest poetry based variety show in the nation. The 2012/2013 season’s cast includes over 30 members and acts from all facets of the entertainment world–comedic, poetic, and vocal performances in the freestyle fashion of Def Poetry Jam, In Living Color, Showtime at the Apollo, etc.
This week, special guests include Bridget Carrington who has performed on ABC’s Duets, with John Legend; as well as Eddie Bryant from Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand Up. The 2012/2013 season of Lyric Ave will continue through June 2013, with performances every third Saturday. Follow Lyric Ave on Facebook for details.
