Best of Missed Connections 9/29-10/6

Waiting… smoking. Waiting more… smoking more. It’s gross, but a common ritual for many as they yearn for someone to respond to their affection.

Waiting… smoking. Waiting more… smoking more. It’s gross, but a common ritual for many as they yearn for someone to respond to their affection.

Perhaps, in the words below, there is someone yearning for you? Take a look at our “best of missed connections” for this week, and maybe you’ll find the one you’ve been waiting for.

Sub Central on Main Street – m4m (RVA)
You were at lunch with a co-worker; I was too. We made brief eye-contact with a genuine smile, but I wasn’t sure if you were being friendly or were interested. You made me blush instantly. To not make a scene in front of your co-worker I left my business card on the table as I left.

If you didn’t get it, or would like to know more let me know.

State Fair Brett Eldredge concert – w4m (Doswell, VA)

We were sitting next to each other at the concert. We both were singing loud.. You sounded good, I sounded like the tone deaf girl I am! I can’t get you out of my head! You had a grey hat and a killer stache. You were there with your parents and a couple of friends. I was alone.. wearing a white tank and black hoodie. I wanted to talk more but didn’t want to miss the concert.

Dreaming of you – m4w (Richmond)

Been thinking about you a lot lately, a whole lot. I’ve actually dreamed about you for the past two nights. I wake up in the morning wishing I could sleep life away, holding you in my arms once again, even if it isn’t real. I should have moved on years ago, and in many ways I did. But no matter what I do I’ll never be able to forget you. The next best thing to breathing my first breath at the beginning of my life, was meeting you.

You’re a mother now, a beautiful little girl. I don’t know if you have a guy around, or if your daughter’s father is in the picture. I wish there was a way I could find out, I wish I could come back into your life somehow. But wishing and hoping is for losers. I’ve never got anything from wishing, I’ve gotten everything from Doing. I don’t work in the medical field like you do, maybe I could change careers in the hopes that our paths would cross one day in a serendipitous way. If it’s something Goddess wants to happen, she will divine it to be so. Until then, I will hope, pray, and do awaiting the day I’ll see you again.

Red’s Apple Cider at RVA capital pride. – m4m (Brown’s Island)

You came to my beer truck line at pride and got Red’s hard cider from me several times. You asked about the way I said “Red’s?” You’re tall, short hair, wore sunglasses but had pretty blue eyes (I think…) the last time you came to my line. I’m shorter than you with curly hair, with glasses. It could have been all the Red’s you had, but I think you were flirting with me, I definitely was. I looked for you after my shift was done but you had already left. I hope you see this and respond, if your interested, we’ll grab a cider of something;)

Your students think you’re the greatest – m4w (RVA)

And so do I. You’re so damn cute, funny. You’re full of energy and passion for what you do. You’re making a difference for our kids and I adore you for it. I love talking to you. Could do so for hours.

You’re not a spazz but I’d love to fill you with coffee and watch the hilarity!

If only things were somehow simpler.
