I still remember my first year in RVA, living on Franklin St.

I still remember my first year in RVA, living on Franklin St. about 4 blocks from VCU campus – I was hung over as hell and it was the first time I’d had a city-wide running event ruin my Saturday morning.

Yes, it’s that time of year again, when Winter shifts to Spring, the trees begin to bloom, and a perfectly nice Saturday in March/April gets torn asunder by several thousand spirited people who care significantly more about themselves and others than I do about drinking on a Friday night.

Welcome back, Monument/Ukrops 10K, we didn’t know we missed you.

1 p.m. NO PARKING goes into effect on Franklin Street from Shafer to Belvidere
3 p.m. NO PARKING goes into effect on Broad Street (Belvidere to Lombardy)
2 p.m. TOWING goes into effect on Franklin between Shafer and Belvidere
3 p.m. Franklin St. – CLOSED between Shafer & Belvidere through 3 p.m. Saturday
