Kuba Kuba made their list of the “50 States, 50 Breakfasts.”

With locations in the Fan and West End we all know and love the Cuban restaurant for its empanadas, paella, Cuban sandwiches and tres leches cake, but did we take time to focus on what they offer for breakfast?

Well, Food Network did. Kuba Kuba earned best breakfast in Virginia for its California Huevos Rancheros.

From Foot Network: “When chef Manny Mendez was little, his father turned the family living room into a bodega, selling hard-to-find Cuban foods to fellow immigrants in Richmond. Mendez followed in his dad’s footsteps at Kuba Kuba, selling groceries alongside dishes like his popular huevos rancheros: two eggs over red beans and crusty Cuban bread, topped with cheese, avocado and a lime-garlic sour cream.”
