WEIRD @ NEW YORK DELI

by | Feb 19, 2010 | POLITICS

Weird is a monthly dance party starting Feburary 20th at New York Deli, hosted by Anna Johnson and Meghan Worsham.

Weird has a two band, two DJ format. Ideally we would like to have one local band open, followed by a truly excellent out-of-town band (the same goes for our DJs). Our main goal is to move as far away as possible from tired Top 40 jams. We think people here are thirsting for an awesome, original dance party with amazing bands and DJs and are confident that Weird is going to be a huge success.

We would also like to put Richmond on the map for truly indie/cutting-edge music, and make Weird the destination for touring bands who play NY, DC, Baltimore, but tend to side-step our city, as well as highlight some of the best new artists Richmond has to offer!
