Students in Richmond Public Schools system are sick of their peers learning in unsafe environments. After a protest this morning, a group of students, mostly from Open High School, went down to City Council to encourage the Council to lend a hand to their struggling friends.

The Richmond City Council gave their support for more discussion around Mayor Jones’ “Revitalize RVA” project last night.
There’s been a buzz around town saying Richmond may build a new baseball stadium in Shockoe Bottom for a while now. It began as the brainchild of Mayor Dwight Jones, and the Richmond City Council has shown flashes of support of the idea, but there’s still a ways to go before anything becomes concrete.
