Best Of VA Missed Connections October 21 – October 27

Welcome to another week of Missed Connections, where we find the anonymous denizens of Craigslist asking: can this year just end already? Here at RVA Mag, we are definitely feeling burnt out, Missed Connections posters — rest assured, you are not alone.

That said, we don’t just have Christmas to look forward to, we also have some fun treats this very week. For example, the guy (person?) hitting on their stepmom, about which all we can say is “OMG.” Or the dudes cruising grandpas at Home Depot — which, I must admit, sure seems like a good place to find a grandpa if that’s what you’re in the market for. And of course, there’s the down-low cruising scene in the ammo section out at Green Top. It begs the question: what are y’all compensating for?

All this plus Doordash driver meet-cutes, Beastie-loving Honda drivers, and people who really just want to compliment a woman on her dress (not that there’s anything wrong with that). This week is a real bonanza.

By the way, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “towards” is not spelled like that. Just ask everyone’s favorite Richmond garage-rock band.

Gently with a chainsaw, Virginia.

Anyone else burnt out? (Henrico)

I was just wondering if there are people out there that are just burnt out by everything that is going on in 2020. Maybe you’re burnt out on friends, family, job, life whatever and you need someone to just vent with that is can bring a fresh perspective. I know I could use someone like that. Anyway, I think we could all use a good laugh.

Cute girl at Powhatan state park (Mechanicsville)

Long shot but why not. I was with my two dogs walking to my car. I saw you at the map board walked into a trail then back out. We said hi to each other in the parking area as you walked tords the trail I came from. You are stunningly beautiful! You were wearing a white shirt, black pants. Reply with what you noticed about me.

Bryan Park Couple-Sat (Bryan Park)

The couple strolling about Bryan Park on Saturday afternoon. I really liked the dress she was wearing and would have liked to have said that in person and be my model……BUT, unable to say. Take care!!!!

Stepmom do you need help? (Stafford)

I know you and dad aren’t so Hot right now. He has told me, plus it is obvious when I come over, your body language rejects him every time he enters a room. Maybe I can help, no one will have to know. Its not like I am not old enough now and you deserve to be happy.

Hottie in the Honda (Magnolia Green – Midlothian)

I had the windows up blaring the Beastie Boys……you were turning left into Magnolia Green and my light turned green to go…..I wish my light was red longer.

Gloucester Starbucks (Gloucester)

You bought my coffee this morning and that really made my day. I did follow you to thank you. I’m glad I caught up to you. You are gorgeous. I’d love to buy coffee for you one day, and hopefully have a nice conversation. Thanks again. I hope I see you again.

Inquiring Minds

Why is it when a genuine post gets posted it gets flagged for removal but posts on here about people wanting to hook up and cheat on their spouses on the down low never get flagged? Just curious…. And slightly irritated…

Grandpa (Midlothian)

I want to say thank again for helping today.
You were at the Home Depot in north chesterfield and helped me in the plumbing department.

Maybe I can buy you a coffee or a beer?

Send me a picture soI know it’s you

Older/ Grandpa (Richmond)

I am sorry to say I deleted your message to me.
This is the man who was interested in finding the chubby grandpa at Home Depot in Midlothian.
You helped me in the plumbing department.
I hope you see this soon.
I hope you will send that picture so I know it’s you.

older man wants to take a boy fishing (Norfolk)

older man wants to teach a young man who didn’t have a father how to enjoy the outdoors fishing and camping

Midlothian Walgreens (Midlothian)

You had beautiful black hair, and were watching me from behind the counter. I was wearing a black long sleeved shirt. I kept seeing you look at me and I could not help but return your gaze. I am sure you have a lovely smile behind the mask. I was having a rough day, but you made it considerably better, thank you!

Construction clean (Chesterfield)

I clean new construction homes and you’ve been there a few times looking very handsome. I hope you read this and feel the same. If so hit me up, tell me what you were wearing today

Lionshead barber shop (Ocean View)

One of the Female Barbers that works there. Your name starts with an A. You’re very cute and we’ve talked many times when I come in there and we’re on a first name basis. I feel like there is a connection being we both of kids the same age and we always make a lot of eye contact. I’ve had a crush on you for so long now. I was in the shop this past Saturday the 24th

Hope this makes it to you

Northern Neck Guy (West End)

Looking to see if I can reconnect with a guy who was in Green Top Sporting Goods a few months ago on a Sunday. We were both looking at the ammo selection and you had been to the Bass Pro range on Saturday. Older guy here and you were younger. We talked and there was a period we both wanted to say more but didnt; lots of people around, plus I you mentioned someone else was with you. Wish we had exchanged txt and hooked up later. There is a snowballs chance in hell you will see this but havent seen you back and want to.

Busch Gardens (Williamsburg)

We were on the same line earlier. When I was on the ride, we had an eye contact and we both winked on each other. You were with the kid and a guy. Hit me up, if it’s you! Tell me what was I wearing!

Met at Honotoki (Virginia beach)

We met at honotoki teriyaki. We were both doing doordash orders, you were driving a white Volkswagen, I was driving a silver mustang. I was wearing a black and white checkered shirt. You initiated a conversation with me out of the blue but I didn’t realize till after that you were interested in me. If by some chance you see this post, email me. Tell me your profession so I know it is you, you mentioned it to me in conversation And doordash was just a way for you to make extra money on the side.

You were the best (MIDLOTHIAN)

You are the nicest guy another guy could meet. You were personable, gentile and very sincere. I hope you see this and you wonderful hands will reach out.

Virtual or in person? (Newport News)

That’s the question right now – to meet virtual or in person. I can say that I’m a guy that has tried them both and can make either enjoyable. However, in my opinion you can’t beat personal interaction. If you’re a gal who would like to discuss this I’d love to hear from you.

Blonde at Short Pump Publix this morning (Short Pump)

I’m sure this has no chance of succeeding…but…

You…blonde, print top, black slacks, yellow handbag…this morning (Friday) at Short Pump Kroger.

Me…khaki slacks, black golf shirt.

Something about you says you’d be interesting to talk to…

Email me here…yes?

Missing your 3rd dimension, all that makes you F. (Suffolk)

All summer I dreamed, imagined, sunk deeper into my thoughts (and lawn chair 🙂 while laying out, absorbing the humidity… thanks to Covid, the only girls I watched were two-dimensional. They still excited me (perhaps a bit too much) and now, as it grows cooler (stopped raining, FINALLY) my lonely days just seem like that- alone. I don’t completely mind, and perhaps I am very cautious, but I’ve known people who were very sick with coronavirus – and won’t let that happen to me.

It is wonderful though… having some kind of connection. Emails, texting, sharing secrets, pics, laughing and flirts. I miss that, I think, more than anything else at this time.

I’m out there, 40’s WM, attractive

And would like to get to know youuuuuu…..

It’s the last gasp of warm weather for the year, folks, and before we all inevitably end up quarantined in our houses once again, the time is right to get out there and make a Missed Connection of your own! Some people have been doing that this time around, including plenty of beachgoers and dog walkers smiling at each other when their wives weren’t looking.

The Missed Connections see you, and here at RVA Mag, we weed out all the posts about cleaning out clogged pipes so you can find the best of what this section has to offer. This week, we’ve got auction hunters and Trader Joe cultists, lots of attractive ladies walking tiny cute dogs, and a novice farmer looking for a Bo Peep to tend his as-yet-unpurchased sheep. I’m kidding — I have no idea what kind of farming the guy wants to do. But I do know you can’t smoke inside the farmhouse.

One word of advice, though: if you’re advertising that you’ll take someone to dinner, it seems like a good idea to offer something a bit fancier than Burger King. That kind of first-date impression doesn’t generally lead to a second one.

Splash out a little, Virginia.

Haven’t we been here before? (CHARLOTTESVILLE)

I’m not sure if this is really the “right” place to put this, but I am just looking for someone in the area who would like to chat about the universe and the meaning of life and all the boring stuff between. In a way, it is a “missed connection” though…

If – for some reason – you came across this post (perhaps while trolling to see what “pipe cleaning” services are available today) and you’re not just looking to get laid but actually have a meaningful conversation: please feel free to respond.

Older man (Richmond)

You were really helpful and I wanted to say thanks.

I mentioned your white hair and we joked about your big belly.

I hope you have a great weekend!

I believe your name was Emily at the auction (Richmond)

I know you’ll never see this, but I couldn’t help but stare into those amazing dark brown eyes. I’d bid the world just to share your gaze…

Trader Joe’s Southside

I believe it was around 4:30
We passed each other a few times and again on the way out of the store.
You have grey hair and were maybe 50’s to 60’s?

I’d love to talk or get together if you’re interested let me know
Tell me what I was wearing..

Lake Anna (Louisa)

We were hanging out on the water this past summer with 5 or 6 couples from the neighborhood. Could not help but notice everytime our wives were away you were interested in talking to to me. I lost your contact information. We should stay in touch.

You were the best (MIDLOTHIAN)

You are the nicest guy another guy could meet. You were personable, gentile and very sincere. I hope you see this and you wonderful hands will reach out.

Where is my queen (Virginia Beach)

Your gentleman is awaiting the return of his queen. We use to spend amazing times together and the ones to come will be better. Let’s go out this weekend. Or do whatever you want. I will shower you and treat you like the queen. You are

Beautiful Lady walking tiny dog on greenhouse (Virginia Beach)

Hi, we said hi to each other while you were walking your tiny dog, I wanted to chat with you but didn’t have the nerve to speak. I’ve been thinking about it for two days now. Maybe next time I guess. Hint; I had cables in my hand.

Lady chicks Beach (Virginia Beach)

Beautiful woman that was walking her Corgi on 10-12-20 on Ocean View Ave in Chicks Beach. I want to stop and say hi but was running late for a meeting. I believe you were wearing a pinkish red shirt the sun was going down at the time. I would love to chat with you sometime if you’re not attached.

Wawa on E Hundred Rd- Blonde cashier (E Hundred Rd)

I was in your store tonight and you were my cashier. We had a couple of eye contact moments. I thought you were very pretty. I was wearing a hat and wearing glasses and a mask. Let’s chat. I remember your name so tell me when you answer.

To the tall guy working

I was driving by your house on Barclay Avenue to see you working and I saw you waving at me.

I want to help with you at the house & any other task that is needed. I’ll even pay for your lunch, preferably at Burger King. I have over ten years of experience and won’t burn a big hole in your pocket.

My name is Scott.

Please don’t flag this post, as this is a legit post and I’m not looking for anything sexual.

I am a retired gentleman that wants the best out of life and live stress and drama free. You you are interested text me and lets talk. If you smoke I will ask you to smoke outside. My name is Chuck

It’s October, the month that pumpkin spice becomes completely ubiquitous and at least half of your neighbors spend entirely devoted to elaborate Halloween decorations. Here at the Missed Connections, finding the perfect person to hand out treats with is a full-time occupation, one complicated considerably by the ongoing need to socially distance. But hey, at least this month has the mask thing covered.

This week, as you’ve come to expect, the MCs have the usual dosage of romantic weirdness covered, from the compression-stocking-rocking RVA Mag reader who loves undercut ponytails (shout out) to spontaneous dance parties breaking out at railroad crossings. Plus, adorable surfer hair helps a C-ville resident get over their hangup about out-of-state plates, a longtime crush on a bank teller finally gets expressed publicly, and an adult novelty store encounter occurs in a way that actually manages to be charming and not weird.

By the way, just to editorialize for a moment: sandwiches never ruin anyone’s day — least of all, sandwiches from Sheetz.

Enjoy your pumpkin-spice burrito, Virginia.

M4F Farm Fresh self checkout line

me: black shirt black shorts and a black leg compression stocking to match (lol), green hat and glasses

you: blue workout clothes, blonde with the sides and back of your head shaved (undercut ponytail?). you smiled at me in line behind your mask and i could tell by your giant gorgeous blue eyes. turns out we parked next to each other and i’m pretty sure you snuck a few more glances but i couldn’t tell because your windows were tinted.

would love to meet face to face (still masked!) sometime.

i’ve never posted one of these things- yo rvamag help me out!

Woman at Powhatan Sheetz

We locked eyes in the checkout line. I wanted to talk to you, but I had to wait for my order. Sandwich ruined my day again! It was around 5:15 today, and you were wearing a camo t-shirt. If you’re interested, let me know what I was wearing or something about me so that I know it’s you. Hope to hear from you

ems (hanover)

If there’s anything I remember that night, it’s how well you treated me, your name, the book and your eyes.

I don’t even think I got a chance to say thank you and how appreciative I was that you actually treated me like a human being which I haven’t had in a long time.

I’m writing this probably out of guilt because I barely said a thing when you said you were leaving but I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t feel some sort of connection.

The biggest thing is I’m grateful and thank you. Just talking to you open my eyes to a lot more than you can imagine.

Keep changing people lives. You’re good at it 🙂

Kroger (Carytown)

We crossed paths on the back aisle…your were pretty white female and u said u liked my smiley face mask…if u come across this….hey lets chat…

Railroad crossing dance party (Port norfolk)

Cleveland st and railroad ave

Long shot here, hoping to get in touch with the ladies in the Nissan murano sl that danced outside there car while we waited on the train to get out the way. I’m the one that was in the tractor trailer behind y’all having the surprise night of his life, I’m down there off Harper road every night of the week besides mon an tues

curly haired Californian cutie (charlottesville)

I’d still be angry at all the out-of-state license plates if it weren’t for you. You gave off MASSIVE Californian surfer boy vibes but I can’t stay mad at a boy with hair like that. I sat on a porch just 3 houses up the street from le petit and you smiled at me on your walk to downtown. I walked to get a coffee in the hopes that you’d be there. I think you drove a mini van.

Dreadhead at Crunch m2m (Richmond)

We spoke in passing by the lockers.

You were mid30s tall, black, long dreads
I was mid40s red shorts, salt and pepper hair.

Had more to say. Hit me up.

Ghent bank teller — name starts with J

We always hit it off. Just seemed to connect in talking about stuff in general. I would be there for work, at YOUR work, so it was just small talk. But I always thought it would be nice to get to know each other WITHOUT plexiglass between us over beer or coffee. But it was awkward to give you my number or for you to give me yours.

Though I did try. 🙂

With COVID, even that beer or coffee may take awhile. But I don’t come in anymore, so was hoping you see this, and we can reconnect over the phone, for now.

Anyway, I know your first name, where you work (of course), roughly where you live, and even where you’re from and whom you live with. So if you are the right person, we’ll have no trouble figuring it out.

Wish there was a way to be direct, but given the CL reputation, I think keeping details out of the first post make sense.

Hope you see this, and I hope I hear from you soon.

For you (Stafford)

Hey. I know you’re going through something, probably even more than what you’ve already revealed recently. I’m here. No judgement. If you need me, just say it. Just say the word. I’ve got you.

Written by a woman

Tractor Supply (Culpeper)

You were coming out of Tractor Supply in Culpeper and I was heading in. I noticed we were wearing the same pattern shirt. As you passed by, I said to you, “I like your shirt.” You smiled back and said, “Thanks.”

What pattern shirt were we both wearing?

Blonde lady at Wawa (Broad/288)

Saw you this morning at the Wawa grabbing items for the workday. You definitely caught my eye…. especially your hair and curves. Would love to hear from ya if you see this!

Shopping (Hampton)

Hello. You came to my store and purchased a few toys. You said this was your first time using toys. You were excited about how knowledgeable I was and thanked me numerous times for helping you out. I would love to meet again. I am the owner. Let me know if this is you. Looking for a guy

Rest area (Dinwiddie)

Stopped by rest area last night on my way home. Made eye contact with a truck driver a few times was wondering if you were still there and need some attention

Echo nurse Chor (Rva)

I had an echo done there today by you. I thought you were very cute. We talked about getting cold outside and leaves changing. I didn’t think to ask for your number or anything. If you happen to see this reply with where you live which we talked about also.

The lady working on her yard (norfolk)

The lady who was outside yesterday you wear the hell out of those black yoga pants perfect body.

Lowes 17 (Stafford)

You kept walking back & forth from one end of Lowe’s to the other. Your a short female, blonde hair. You had on sweat pants & a purple hoodie. After you passed me the 3rd time I said, your running a marathon today. You ended up in line behind me at the register too. I’d love to introduce myself. Describe what I looked like if remember me.

Best of VA Missed Connections September 30 – October 6

Topics: Best of craigslist, best of missed connections, Charlottesville, craigslist richmond va, Fredericksburg, missed connections, Norfolk, richmond, Richmond missed connections, richmond va, roanoke, RVA, things to do in richmond va, Virginia Beach

There are a lot of important things happening in the world right now, and sometimes you might even hear a little bit about them in the Missed Connections. Things like the census (and how cute that census taker that stopped by was). Or the presidential debate (and the lovely people in Starbucks who you wish you could have talked to more about it). Yes, we’ve got a somewhat socially conscious edition of Missed Connections for you this week, but never fear — there’s still plenty of silly stuff here.

For example, some borderline-incomprehensible stuff about doing drugs from someone who was clearly high when they wrote it, as well as some great flirting situations in Taco Bell drive-thrus and on golf courses. Gotta keep that social distance when you’re macking on hotties at Target!

Also, a word of advice inspired by a tale of woe from this week: if you’re driving around in a BMW that’s over a decade old, you better be ready to do some roadside repair at a moment’s notice. They’re not the most durable of vehicles.

Keep your tools in the car, Virginia.

The Census Girl (The Fan)

You came by my apartment, but it turned out to be the wrong one. Almost as soon as you left I found myself thinking, “Wow, she was really cute and had great energy. I wish I would have said more to her”

No sooner did I think that, you came back to ask about my neighbor and we had a cute conversation about the foreign languages we speak. I didn’t feel like it would be appropriate to ask you out right there, but after you left I pretty much immediately regretted not doing so. There was just something about you that made me want to talk to you more.

-The tall guy in the the Third Eye Blind t-shirt

Talked about the debate at Starbucks (Richmond)

I was getting coffee at Starbucks Wednesday afternoon, talking to the barista about the debate and you joined in. We continued the conversation as we walked out of the door and briefly once we were outside. I didn’t get your name or any details but would love to continue our conversation over dinner or coffee sometime. I know it’s a long shot that you’ll see this, but if you do, let me know which Starbucks we met at so we can see where our next conversation leads. Like they (whoever they are) say, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

you were wearing a supergirl shirt (Fredericksburg Park)

You were walking at a local park and were wearing a blue supergirl shirt and a nice smile. We said hi to each other as we passed. I noticed you had a wedding ring but no husband to be found.

Dextrip sidekick wanted to lean and ride around (Patrick hnry)

When I delsym I like a girlfriend. Cheers

Woman for boat Rides/Fishing

Looking for woman to take on the boat with me. I know it is getting chilly and it takes a dedicated woman, but I am looking for someone who enjoys the outdoors and would like to share some time on the water. I would love to have a beautiful smile with me on the boat to look at. Well if it sounds like something that interest you message me and lets see where it goes. Autumn if you read this message me I had something emergent come up and lost your info. I am still interested.

Taco Bell Drive-Thru Boydton Plank Rd (Petersburg area)

I am really hoping you see this. I just went through the drive-thru at Taco Bell and you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I couldn’t stop looking and I know you noticed. I almost asked for your number but didn’t. Should have. Do you remember? Tell me something specific about me.

Shorts and green jersey (Sandy Bottom)

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your choice of short cut off shorts and sports jersey. I’m not sure everyone at the park shared my appreciation, but I also know I’m not the only one to take a second look. Keep it up and if you need a guy to chaparone your walk I’m happy to help.

Blonde in Target (Chester)

As you were coming down your aisle, I turned and I noticed you first. We made friendly eye contact. We went down the same shopping aisle a minute or two later, and I could help but notice our eyes meet again. The way you fit into your dress was quite appealing. Hope to hear from you. I have brown hair, tall, and I’m 39.

Golf Tounament (Virginia Beach)

You were volunteering at a charity golf tournament Friday. Riding in a beverage cart and have a first grader at SJ. I was the tall guy, black shirt having a conversation about wanting to meet someone to date. You did not have a ring on and I was wondering if you were available and interested. Can you remember the color of my hat?

Lauren at ballyhoos

Hey Lauren. We met at Ballyhoos. You were wearing the Mic Jagger sweatshirt. I wasn’t picking up on your signs, but I totally get it now. Please contact me.

Missed truck connection (Henrico)

We were checking out each other in gas station. You were in your truck and I was in sedan. There was more to eye than in our glances. I lost you in kohl’s block. If it’s you, HMU and tell me what kind of pickup truck you were driving. M4F

Stranded BMW (Richmknd)

You were stranded in your BMW at a stop sign. I stop and offer some help but you end up getting your car towed. Wanted to tell you a great like you had a beautiful lies but was hesitant. If you’d like to try out that restaurant or go get a glass of wine, give me a reply.

Saw you working on a car in Midlothian (Chesterfield)

You were working on a car in the staff parking lot of Monacan HS. Hot RED haired beard. Wood love to see if there is a rug below that matches that bright red hair. Love red heads!!

Missed red sedan (Henrico)

Looking for the red sedan that was waiting on lights (longer than needed) near driveshaft after exiting from w. gas station. We had glances while you were at the station. I turned around to catch up with you. But couldn’t see you again on highway. Hmu if it’s you. It’s a long shot but hopefully something than nothing

As September limps to a dreary, foggy end and we prepare for tonight’s presidential debate to further scare the hell out of us with visions of authoritarian autocracy, why not escape from it all for a few minutes with some Missed Connections? There’s certainly some entertainment to be had here this week, and god knows we all need it.

From smiles under masks to across-the-street waves, we’re all still finding ways to notice and appreciate each other even during our current socially distanced reality. There’s no end in sight, unfortunately, so we’re all probably stuck with the virtual bullshit for quite a bit longer. That said, mountaintop meetups and checkout line conversations are still available to us all, and as sure as we’re all humans, they’re sure to continue happening, at least occasionally.

Keep hope alive, Virginia.

Bunny (Heart of Carytown)

I miss your black eyes.

Did you find what you were looking for?

Handsome Mailman (Dumbarton)

I got to see you often this summer, we waved to eachother and smiled. I haven’t seen you for a while. I’m certain you won’t read this post, but I do miss seeing you.

Girl I met at Pony Pasture (Richmond)

You had the sweet pup Ella and I had the big pup Lola. Wanted to exchange numbers before we parted.

Brown’s Island (Downtown)

Looking for the guy I talked to on Brown’s Island recently. You seemed like a cool guy and definitely would have some fun together. I’m a white guy, attractive, masculine, live near VCU.

virtual, virtual, virtual, all bs (Charlottesville)

im so tired of virtual living. didnt i see you recently? if not… oh well, contact me so we can make sure

I think that was her under that mask 😉 (Fredericksburg)

Were you smiling at me under that mask? lol I’d love to talk to you more. You were beautiful to me in every way that I could see. I hope we can become “friends”. 😉 I love all shapes, sizes, ages or races. It’s difficult to say more without getting removed here. Times are tough and loneliness is prevalent and needs, wants and desires are going unfulfilled. Please get in touch and I’ll tell you much, much more.

Nice chatting at Walmart (Ruckersville)

Last week I had a too brief chance to talk to a lovely lady in line near the registers. For once, the line going faster was not so welcome – we seemed to be enjoy chatting.

Would enjoy picking back up and getting together.

Blue n purple hair. Exxon in Lewisburg this morning

8:30 ish this morning (friday (9y/25) exit at the exxon station. I was fueling up. You were smoking. I commented on your hair. Said it looked similar to someone i know. I went in. You were lingering? Lol i should have kept the conversation going. I saw you trying not to smile as you pulled out. Hopefully you see this. I’d like to see that smile again.

Work Truck w/Ladders (Exit 99 Afton)

Tried to get your attention the couple times that I seen you on the mountain early in the mornings. I guess you were going to work and I had just finished work. Hope you see this ad. Seems that we both are on a schedule for something ongoing!

Beautiful woman driving blue pickup near nob

You were driving a blue Chevrolet pickup near nob today. You were absolutely stunning, we exchanged a few smiles back and forth and you knew I was staring at you and we continued down the road. Would really like to chat and see where it takes us and have some fun. Tell me what state your plates are from and what did you have on your dashboard so I know it is you.

You spoke to me from your truck (Henrico)

You talked to me from your truck on parham x broad. I got shy. You’re really smoking a cigarette and have a great smile

Saw you working on a car in Midlothian (Chesterfield)

You were working on a car in the staff parking lot of Monacan HS. Hot RED haired beard. Wood love to see if there is a rug below that matches that bright red hair. Love red heads!!

Boss (Richmond)

You encouraged me to go for it, and I did. I’d really like to tell you how it went…

The air has grown cool, summer has come to an end, and COVID-19’s death toll has surpassed 200,000 — perfect time to do some safely virtual flirting by way of Missed Connections. But if you are out and about, getting some fresh air and doing some skating is never a bad idea.

We’ve got some of that kind of action happening this week, as well as quite a few other not-necessarily-socially-distanced activities, like hitting up thrift stores and riding motorcycles, as well as some pandemic-era classics like receiving UPS packages, ordering pizza through drive-thru windows, and pining over people you haven’t seen in a very long time.

One note for all you MCers out there, though — if your old Dodge keeps randomly stalling out while you’re driving around, you better get to a garage and get that looked at. Eventually it’s not gonna start back up again.

Keep those wheels rolling, Virginia.

roller derby bb (Southside)

hi! we met at the skate park today and you helped me up after i fell on my butt. we said bye to each other when i was leaving, and we formally introduced ourselves…but i have an awful memory and have already forgotten your name 🙁 reply to this with what color your hair was and what you were wearing (so i know it’s you, there’s creeps on here) and maybe we can be friends and skate together sometime? <3

Oregon Hill cat Tuesday a.m.

the woman who was going to ride motorcycles through Asia (Richmond)

Live out our days with an art gallery in the Caribbean. I missed you somehow, and got someone else. Such is life. I had much of it in place, but life happens. Maybe next time

UPS Del Guy (N Chesterfield)

Not even sure if there is anything there. I do get a vibe from you. Next time I see you ( several times a week ) I hope you say something about CL. you are a taller WM. “Hint sometimes i get the packages before you even get to my work.

DogFish Head (Appomattox)

Time flies…

and I can’t believe I’ve resorted to CL to write this to you, but here I am. You still cross my mind from time to time, and I always wonder if you think of me? (so cheesy I KNOW) I’m sure we’ve both grown a lot over the past few years. I miss our adventures and conversations.

If you see this, just know I have ALWAYS wished the best for you and I hope you don’t hate me. That is my biggest fear.

Super cute blonde at hope house foundation thrift store (Norfolk Monticello Ave.)

We caught each other’s eye as we were leaving, I would love to get to know you better. You were driving a white SUV. Tell me what kind it was.

blonde at pizza drive thru (Staunton)

You took my order and I was stunned by your beautiful smile and gorgeous blue eyes. I couldn’t ask you what I really wanted. Would enjoy some time to get to know you.

Boogie Board (Va Beach)

You are a female. It was a KOA. Boogie Board. If that is not enough the you are not the one.

Driving? (Lynchburg)

You drove passed me the other day on Wards Road. I drive an old red dodge. It had stalled on me and I was attempting to get it started again. You offered to get some help for me but I declined since my car often stalls and I just needed a few minutes to crank it up again. You were a really nice guy and you looked about my age. I’m a 19 year old attractive guy. Hit me up with Dodge in the subject line of you think this was you.

WaWa (Mechanicsville, Va)

I help you with your tire at wawa in Mechanicsville…. If you see this tell me what I was Driving…

Aldi’s Tuesday evening (Stafford)

I was leaving Aldi’s and I noticed you watching me while you sat in the car. We locked eyes a few times, even nodded at you. I should’ve said hello instead… oh well, I guess that is what CL’s missed connection is for. You had red hair, tell me what I was wearing so I know it’s you?

Goodbye anthony

Hope you enjoy Florida
