The Virginia hip hop artist has released another music video off his upcoming EP due out this fall. You may remember when we interviewed him not long ago when his first video ‘Fauxlove’ premiered on mtvU.

Phill’s newest material, ‘Astray’ has a dope beat, an engaging video and a message we can all relate to. It starts out with him driving back to his house with a box full of office supplies including his name tag, eluding to the fact that he’s been fired.

He gets to his house, busts out a bottle of what looks to be Jack and just sits and marinates in the moment before losing his shit. I can safely say we’ve all been in this exact position at one point or another in our lives. I know I have.

He questions where he should go and what should be his next step when life kicks you in the teeth. The video culminates with him taking all his stuff from his 9 to 5 paper-pushing job and setting it ablaze beside the water as he strums his guitar.

Let’s hope he keeps making music instead of punching the clock, because this guy’s style, lyrics and tracks send out a positive and powerful message and I can’t wait to hear more from him.
