Those Freaking Weirdos are back at Strangeways Brewing this month with a better way to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.

Those Freaking Weirdos are back at Strangeways Brewing this month with a better way to celebrate St. Patty’s Day. If block parties are starting to seem a bit old hat, why not head down to Strangeways and see some hats (and a lot of other items of clothing) come off? Moxie LaBouche, Dante The Inferno, Melody Magpie, and Dev L. Ish will be up to their old tricks, which they’ve been showing off monthly to an appreciative and steadily growing audience at Strangeways for a while now. And this month, their special guest is burlesque renaissance man Paco Fish, who comes to us from Baltimore with his multi-faceted, humorous take on burlesque performance. He’s been awarded the titles “King Of The Carolina Sweet Tease” and “King Of Southern Exposure,” and was voted one of the top 10 male burlesque performers in the world by 21st Century Burlesque–so you can be sure he’ll keep you entertained when he takes the stage at Strangeways! With nudie newbie Laurette LaRoo and stage kitten Nefaria Deeds rounding out the cast for this month, it’s clear that the only place to quaff a high quality craft beer (or two) on the Friday before St. Patrick’s Day this year is Brews & Burlesque at Strangeways Brewing!

REVIEW | Ducking Awesome! WitchDuck Is Smart, Sharp, and Ruthless

I am rarely speechless, especially about theatre. Since I don’t get paid if I remain silent, I will make myself criticize a play I don’t feel I have any right to judge. Gotta pay the rent, and all that. I came into this performance of WitchDuck by Cadence and...
