It’s time to put the 90s revival on pause for at least one night–this Friday at Gallery 5, a crew of 13 RVA burlesque dancers will take us back to the 80s, when hair metal ruled the airwaves and clouds of AquaNet filled the air above LA’s Sunset Strip.

Let’s Get Rocked, a burlesque celebration of the hair-metal era, is truly an idea whose time has come, and this Friday, June 13, the producer of Voix De Ville Follies, together with the best burlesque talent from all over the river city will come together to bring it to you!

In addition to all the hot burlesque talent that will be on hand, this event will be hosted by local comedian Ray Bullock, and will feature an after party with music provided by DJ Zwerdling. The event is a benefit for Locks Of Love, which seems extremely appropriate, and Bombshell Salon will be there collecting donations of hair. Or, if your current hair situation doesn’t leave you with enough available to contribute to the cause, you can also participate in the evening’s silent auction, featuring a variety of items that your charitable dollars can bring to you.

Let’s Get Rocked is guaranteed to “take you down to paradise city, rock you like a hurricane and shake you all night long” with the best soundtrack for scantily-clad female table dancing the 80s (or possibly any decade) ever produced. Advance tickets are only $10, and for $25, you can obtain a VIP pass that comes with a boatload of perks that make it more than worth your extra cash–including a pre-show meet and greet with the cast, reserved seating, a signed poster for the event, and more! You really don’t want to miss this evening of hot glam-metal action, so get your tickets now!
