In-Depth is a podcast from RVA Magazine focusing on unique and talented electronic music producers and DJs. In this podcast, we will hopefully introduce you to some new creative music. This week we have a mix from a very popular Dj and producer – the owner of JET JAM records, STAR SLINGER.

Star Slinger is a well known DJ and producer that has gained quite a following in the UK. He is known for his productions for various artists, from electronic to hip hop. His first self-released LP dropped in 2010, and since then, Williams has worked and toured with acts like Drake and A$AP Rocky. He also has gathered some notoriety for reworking Deerhunter and Broken Social Scene tunes. Star Slinger curates a international night club night under the name Jet Jam, along with visual artists Anze Sekelj and Michaela Selmani. The night’s programming puts much emphasis on eclecticism, and no emphasis on BPM.

Check out his mix for an idea of some of the sounds he likes:

I was approached to do a mix for the amazing Paris Social Club & the infamous DJ Mag to mark December 2012! Here it is!
