RiFF RAFF to Rip Up Kingdom 8/6

RiFF RAFF (A.K.A. Jody Christian) is set to hit the Kingdom stage next Tuesday night.

RiFF RAFF (A.K.A. Jody Christian) is set to hit the Kingdom stage next Tuesday night. RAFF is known for his collabs with Soulja Boy, but he’s probably on his way up as he’s been recently signed to Diplo’s Mad Decent label.

Here’s one of his more recent videos for “Rookie Of the Year:”

RAFF was first known for his work in 2008 – starting with mix tapes and youtube clips that were a mix of hip hop and slap-stick humor sketches. He stuck with it and now has three albums out.

Diplo made it onto a morning radio show last fall and he spoke about why he signed RiFF RAFF and what’s come of it so far.

“So many people said why would you sign such a crazy mo… but i knew from the start, he had this personality and this charisma, and people said the same thing about MIA.” said Diplo.

So Diplo just compared RiFF RAFF to MIA – if that doesn’t say something, I don’t know what does.
