Landmark Music Festival brings Drake, The Strokes, Alt-J, CHVRCHES, Avers, and more to Washington DC for charity

Who the hell thought of putting a music festival in DC and why the hell didn’t it happen sooner?!

The Landmark Music Festival, set to happen the weekend of 9/26 over two days, is bringing an impressive lineup of performers to the Nation’s Capital and we’re pumped to see this happen.

The line up includes about 40 artists, including Drake, The Strokes, alt-J, Chvrches, Ben Howard, Chromeo, Band Of Horses, The War On Drugs, George Ezra, Nate Ruess, Dan Deacon, (RVA’s own Avers) and many more.

Even cooler, the event is actually a fundraiser with money going to The Trust for the National Mall – an official partner of the National Park Service. The trust is leading the charge to “restore and improve the National Mall and honor its ideals for future generations through the new Landmark Campaign.”

We’re pumped to see this kind of massive festival come within 100 miles of RVA and we’ll be sure to keep ya’ll up to date as we learn more about this event.
