The Adrenaline Film Project is a bit like the 48-Hour Film Project, although professional filmmakers will be on hand to offer suggestions, guidance and advice. Since it takes place during the Virginia Film Festival, filmmakers are in an exceptional environment for artistic work. If you’re at all interested, please visit the website above for more information.

The Adrenaline Film Project is a tremendous opportunity for filmmakers to hone their moviemaking skills while working alongside professional Hollywood filmmakers. AFP is a 72-hour filmmaking competition where teams of three filmmakers must write, cast, shoot, edit and screen a film during the Virginia Film Festival, November 4 – November 7. Each phase of production is closely supervised by the AFP Executive Producers and Project Mentors, Jeff Wadlow (Director, NEVER BACK DOWN) and Leigh Kilton-Smith (Acting Coach, IRON MAN). The AFP culminates in a screening in front of a packed audience of 600+, including the Film Festival’s special Hollywood guests, on Saturday, November 7 at the University of Virginia’s Culbreth Theater.

In previous years, the film sets of Adrenaline teams have been visited by guest mentors including Tom Shadyac (Director, BRUCE ALMIGHTY), Mark Johnson (Producer, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA), Brad Silberling (Director, LEMONY SNICKET), Ron Yerxa (Producer, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE) and many more!

The deadline for applications is Monday, October 19, so apply now! For more information and an application, visit www.adrenalinefilmproject.com, and send any questions [email protected]
