Taking You With Me: Weekend Playlist by The Silent Boys

by | May 15, 2020 | MUSIC

Every Friday night, RVA Mag brings you a wonderful, awesome playlist curated by Virginia’s most influential artists, musicians, and institutions.

This week’s comes to us from The Silent Boys, a long-running indie-pop group from right here in Richmond, who’ve been making music for over three decades and are releasing their latest LP, entitled Tilt-A-Whirl, today. The group, led by singer/songwriter Wallace Dietz, also features Sound Of Music Studios founder John Morand. “We’ve been faithfully and consistently producing infectious 80s-style guitar pop since 1986,” says Dietz.

Their brand new album is another helping of that delightful sound from these talented folks, and you can pick it up at their Bandcamp page today. But we’ve got a bonus treat for you, in the form of a killer power-pop playlist put together for us by the band. Blast this one from your stereo speakers this weekend; it’ll brighten up your whole day.

Get happy, Virginia.
