Before the beer taps and condos, before the buzzwords about ‘revitalization,’ Scott’s Addition’s future passed through the hands of a single man: Justin Glynn French. A convicted felon whose empire collapsed in scandal, he set the stage, even if unintentionally, for...
Richmond has shown me many wonderful and spectacular ways to waste my time, but none quite as good as this one. Sunday, I attended the RVA date of the Air Sex Championship tour and I saw comedically named players pretend to fuck...
I remember when I was about to FINALLY escape High School. It felt like I had been there forever. I remember when I was about to FINALLY escape High School. It felt like I had been there forever. The excitement of not really knowing what's next, the hunger to own my identity and making the necessary mistakes to get there; the unsettling truth...
This week feels like deja vu all over again. We do this most weeks, and most of the time and the missed connections are similar because they all fall into the same couple tropes: i saw a hot guy, i saw a hot girl, there was a pretty employee who was nice to me because its their job, i love my ex, i hate my ex, ONE IN ALL CAPS, weird phrasing,...

Normally, one or two questionable posts rear their ugly heads, but this week most everything I’ve got is depressingly creepy. There are...

Having inspired everything from a Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror episode to the name of Baltimore's NFL franchise, "The Raven" is a cultural touchstone known to schoolchildren the world over. But...
It's not hard to look up inside a 3 story Fan apartment and wonder what the hell is going on just 7-14(RVA's famed vaulted ceilings!) feet above your head as the sounds of all hell rain down below.
