by | May 29, 2018 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

Hope everyone had a nice long weekend, if not, then sit down for your weekly entertainment, because the people of RVA Missed Connections sure enjoyed themselves. In this batch, The Hof continues to be the hot spot for spicy encounters, sparks fly between two karaoke singers at Ipanema Cafe, a man becomes mesmerized with a Mellow Mushroom waitress, and things get steamy Saturday night at Barcode. All that and more below.

Mellow Girl

Gorgeous waitress at mellow mushroom tonight with amazing smile and beautiful smile. You were cute and nice and I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. If this finds you respond with something to let me know it’s you. Would love to meet up sometime.

City Diner (Down Town on Broad)

So far fetched, it hurts. However, you’ll never know, till you try. You are so beautiful, that every time I see you, my heart skips a few beats. I don’t have tats, but love the ones you have. I want to see you them up close, touch them, not just with my fingers, but with my lips. You always smell so good, I just want to kiss you. I am sure you are not alone, but if you are, love to take you out to dinner and get to know you better. If you are interested, tell me why you gave me a such a nice, warm, and soft hug. I wanted the hug to last longer.

Pool Party Last Year (Bon Air)

I attended a small private pool party (maybe 12 guys) the end of last summer and had a great time and met several people I hoped to see again this year. Unfortunately, I only have the old Craigslist email address so don’t know how to get in touch with anyone. I would like to reconnect. Very pleasant company and good people. If you know the person who gave the party or you are one of the people who attended the party please contact me.

Hof Rooftop, Sat 5/19 (Richmond, VA)

K, you had short dark hair, wearing a black top, and jeans. We kept making eye contact while we were dancing at AfroBeta. When we introduced ourselves I went for a handshake and you went for a hug. I think we were both with men, but not really with them. I couldn’t find you on my way out. I can’t tell if this is too vague or too specific. Let’s dance all night and make the boys fall in love with us before we run away holding hands and laughing at their confusion

Big Tumbleweed

You’re a big tumbleweed. Sometimes I see you blowing around in the wind, down the street, and into the horizon. Sometimes, I imagine that I’m a cowboy, rocking slowly in a chair on some dusty stoop, and- my word, there you go! Rolling by before my eyes like a moon of thorns and dust. Sometimes I dream that I’m a father, and I’m carefully teaching my young son to roll you around with a stick like a big wooden hoop. I lean over and guide his little hand, showing him how to nudge you forward, forward, ever so gently…Sometimes I feel like maybe you’re just some vague symbol my mind found in a lethargic haze- maybe some token stand-in for my barren emotional life- but I suppose that’s neither here nor there.

urban sailors washing up in church hill (union market)

As we were leaving our anchor at Union tonight, saddled with wine and rations — you crossed the road. Tattooed thighs, long hair. Bold. In the aftermath of the rain, your bodies thrust forward a light urban sailor rain. It trickled down your long hair, beards, and area tattoos.

Saw you at I don’t know sports bar (Chester, VA)

You were on the patio with friends we appeared to make eye contact quite a bit…you bummed two smokes and asked me what nationality I was…I doubt you will see this but who knows.
