Best of VA Missed Connections August 21 – August 27

by | Aug 27, 2019 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

The longer summer goes on, the weirder it gets here in the Missed Connections. From people who smoke Netflix to unashamed beer belly rubbers in the hardware store, everyone’s letting it all hang out this week. And don’t get us wrong, we’re all for it! If nothing else, it makes for some entertaining reading.

We’ve got all kinds of stuff going on this week, in fact — from amorous fishermen and people giving notice at their jobs to someone who appears to be living the lyrics of that 90s hit “Whoever You Are” by Geggy Tah. Plus, as always, plenty of people trying to grab some chicken — and a few people trying to grab a smoke. And by the way, if you’re looking for those obnoxious kids who like to race each other weaving in and out of traffic on the interstate during rush hour, look no further; they’re in the Missed Connections this week.

Cut it up, Virginia.

Lowe’s – Guy with Enormous Beer Belly

We are both older white guys. You passed by me as you were rubbing your enormous beer belly and I said, “Now that’s a belly to be proud of,” and you said “Hell yeh!” pushed your belly at me. I gave it a good rub as you laughed. If you see this let me know if you want to grab several beers together.

Why (Matoaca)

Why doesn’t anyone like me. Why am I always alone.

Met someone in The Ville this past Friday night. (Mechanicsville)

Met a man in The Ville this past Friday night. I was at a table with a bunch of people I didn’t even know. My date stood me up and I ended up with their friends, I don’t think you were part of their group though. You came up to me and asked me if I was related to one of my family members and told me you used to hang out around the same people I did when we were kids. I asked for you’re number but I think I took down wrong… I know this is weird but if you see this, just put my LAST name and your name in the email… honestly, was star-struck when you came up to me…

I thought you sang well (Colonial Heights)

Hey Lauren, I thought you sang really good with your friends. Would’ve enjoyed talking more but couldn’t. And don’t have a way to contact you.
